By downloading or using Under The Hood ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Under The Hood uses artificial intelligence to analyze repair quotes and vehicle diagnostic codes and provide estimated fair price ranges. Results are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional mechanical or legal advice.
Price estimates and repair assessments provided by the App are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Actual repair costs vary by location, vehicle, and shop. Under The Hood makes no guarantee that estimates reflect current market prices in your area. Estimates are presented in the currency of the quote you submit and are not exchange-rate conversions. Any tax the App identifies on an invoice is an interpretation of that document, not tax advice. Always get multiple quotes from licensed mechanics before authorizing repairs.
The App offers in-app purchases including a single-scan option and an annual subscription, processed through Apple's App Store. Purchases are charged in the currency of your App Store account, and the exact amount is displayed by Apple before you confirm. All purchases are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions for your region. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.

The App, its design, and all content produced by Under The Hood are owned by Under The Hood and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Quote photos and text you submit remain yours — we do not claim ownership of content you provide.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Under The Hood shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any repair decisions made based on the App's output. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it.
The App integrates with third-party services including Google Gemini, Supabase, and RevenueCat. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. Under The Hood is not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Nothing in these terms limits any consumer-protection right you hold under the mandatory laws of your country, province, or state that cannot be waived by agreement. Where such a law conflicts with these terms, that law applies to you. Residents of Quebec and of other jurisdictions with non-waivable consumer statutes retain those rights in full.
