Privacy Policy
Last updated August 27, 2026
TuneCue is built to work entirely on your device. This page describes what data the app handles, why, and what stays local.
Summary
- No account is required to use TuneCue.
- Microphone audio is analyzed on-device to detect pitch and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
- TuneCue makes no network requests of any kind.
- TuneCue does not run ads, does not use analytics or ad-tracking SDKs, and does not sell your data — ever, to anyone.
What TuneCue collects
Microphone audio
TuneCue listens through your iPhone's or Apple Watch's microphone to detect the pitch of the note you're playing, so it can tell you whether it's sharp, flat, or in tune. This analysis happens entirely on-device in real time. Audio is never recorded, saved, or sent off-device — it exists only for the moment it takes to detect a pitch.
Everything else
TuneCue has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, and no network connection of any kind. The app never contacts a server, and there is no backend to send data to.
What TuneCue does not do
- No advertising, no ad networks, no ad-tracking identifiers.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- No recording or storage of microphone audio.
- No uploading of any data to any server — TuneCue makes no network requests at all.
- No selling or renting your data to third parties, because none is collected.
Permissions
TuneCue requests one system permission: microphone access, used solely to detect the pitch of the note you're playing. It requests no other permissions — no camera, no location, no contacts, no HealthKit.
Children's privacy
TuneCue does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children under 13. There is nothing to opt out of.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Given that the app collects no data, we do not anticipate meaningful changes.
