FlexCue

Privacy Policy

Last updated July 15, 2026

FlexCue is built local-first on purpose. This page describes what data the app handles, why, and what stays on your device.

Summary

What FlexCue collects

Camera and body-tracking data

FlexCue uses your iPhone's camera for on-device body tracking (ARKit body tracking with LiDAR depth where available, falling back to Vision-based 2D pose estimation on older hardware) to compare your live joint positions against a target pose or movement. This processing happens entirely on your device in real time — camera frames are not recorded, stored, or sent off-device.

Apple Watch and AirPods motion data

If you wear an Apple Watch and/or AirPods during a session, FlexCue reads motion data (via CoreMotion and, for AirPods, head/neck orientation via CMHeadphoneMotionManager) to keep tracking your alignment when the camera can't see you clearly. This data is relayed from your Watch to your phone over WatchConnectivity and processed on-device — it is not uploaded.

Session history

Session records (which exercise, when, how well you held alignment) are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device SwiftData persistence. FlexCue has no backend server and no user accounts in the current version, so this history is never transmitted anywhere.

Purchases

FlexCue's full exercise library is unlocked through a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple's App Store (StoreKit). FlexCue does not receive or store your payment card details — Apple handles that, and verifies your purchase entitlement directly with your device.

Diagnostics

Standard crash and performance diagnostics may be collected to help fix bugs. These are not linked to your camera data, motion data, or session content.

What FlexCue does not do

Data retention and deletion

Since camera and motion data are processed in memory and never stored, there is nothing to delete beyond your locally saved session history. Deleting the app, or clearing session history in-app, removes that data from your device.

Children's privacy

FlexCue is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above will change and, where appropriate, you'll be notified in-app.
