Fixworthy

Terms of Use

Last updated July 25, 2026 · Français

These terms govern your use of the Fixworthy app. By downloading or using Fixworthy, you agree to them.

What Fixworthy is

Fixworthy is a decision-support tool. It estimates costs and presents ranked options, repair yourself, hire a repair, replace, or live with it, along with the reasoning behind each. It is not a repair walkthrough, not a shopping service, and not professional advice of any kind.

Not professional advice

Fixworthy's estimates, verdicts, and AI-generated explanations are informational only. They are not financial, legal, safety, or repair advice, and should not be relied on as a substitute for a qualified professional's judgment, particularly for anything involving electrical, gas, structural, or safety-related repairs. You are responsible for any decision you make based on the app's output.

Estimates may be wrong

Where Fixworthy fills in a number you didn't provide (repair cost, lifespan, resale value), it is a model-generated estimate, clearly labeled as such, and may not reflect your actual local prices, item condition, or market. Every estimate is visible and editable, you're encouraged to correct it with real numbers whenever you have them.

Your responsibilities

Accounts and purchases

Optional accounts (Sign in with Apple) and any in-app purchases or subscriptions are subject to Apple's App Store terms in addition to these terms. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not Fixworthy directly.

No warranty

Fixworthy is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of estimates. Fixworthy does not guarantee that following any ranked option will produce a particular financial or practical outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fixworthy and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including decisions made based on its output.

Changes to the app or these terms

Fixworthy may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.

Canadian residents

Nothing in these terms limits any consumer rights you have under applicable Canadian law that cannot be waived by agreement, including rights under provincial consumer protection legislation and, for Quebec residents, the Consumer Protection Act. Where these terms conflict with a mandatory protection you have under that law, that law applies. How Fixworthy handles your personal information, including cross-border transfer and your rights under PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25, is described in the Privacy Policy.

Termination

Access to any backend-dependent features (saved history, sync) may be suspended or terminated for misuse of the service.
